for VANMOKUM, 2016

VANMOKUM invited Truly Truly to create the design for their audio concept 'SoundSkins'. Feeling that the look of speakers was commonly technological and cold, VANMOKUM came up with the idea to create a textile cover that would transform the  speaker into a beautiful interior object. Truly Truly worked closely with the TextielMuseum, Tilburg to develop knitted covers that have a customised fit and give warmth and personality. Testing with an acoustic engineer ensured that the skins are acoustically transparent and don't effect the sound.

Mechanically knitted textile. Various sizes suitable for different speakers.

Colours: Olive Green, Charcoal Black, Copper, Smoke White, Stone Blue.
