Gentle Lines at Tame as Pussycats Chair

A playful tangle of foam spaghetti, constrained within a net exterior.

Gentle Lines as Tame as Pussy Cats Chair

This chair takes its inspiration from the childhood joy experienced
when jumping into foam pits during gymnastics class.

Simple and inexpensive to manufacture, it's filled with foam off-cuts that would normally be directly recycled into lower-grade composite foam at the factory. These off-cuts are taken and used in place of new materials to create a chair. At the end of the chair’s life, instead of turning the materials into dead-end waste, they can easily be separated, recycled or re-used at the factory.

In the top layers of the chair, where it will be in contact with people,
a small amount of soft, higher-grade foam is used. Composite, recycled foams are normally considered too low-grade for domestic use. However in this case, their dense nature make them an ideal structural support to form the bulk of the chair.
